Technip has already been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction management contract for developing the Dragon and Patao fields, located about 40 kilometres north of the Paria peninsula.
The Technip contract does not include fabrication and installation of the platform, which is expected to handle 600 million cubic feet per day.
“We want first gas before the end of 2012 and we know we have to get a slot for an installation vessel for the final quarter of that year.
