The award was announced by the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) consortium building an 870-kilometre line from the Greek-Turkish border, where the planned Trans Anatolian Pipeline (Tanap) is to deliver the Azeri gas it picks up at Turkey’s border with Georgia.
Saipem’s engineering, procurement and construction contract covers associated civil works at the landfalls in both Albania and Italy, offshore pipeline installation, offshore fibre optic cable supply and installation, and pre-commissioning and survey activities.
