Saka Energi has taken a final investment decision and is now forging ahead to exploit its Sidayu oil and gas field on the Pangkah production sharing contract off Java after getting the green light from the Indonesian authorities, writes Amanda Battersby.

Saka plans to invest 2.4 trillion rupiah ($171.9 million) to develop the Sidayu and West Pangkah fields, said president director Tumbur Parlindungan.
