SOUTH Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries has won an approximate 250 billion won (US$221 million) contract for a floating storage and regasification unit to be deployed off Java, Indonesia, writes Amanda Battersby.

A consortium of Indonesia’s national oil and gas company Pertamina with Japanese trading house partners Marubeni and Sojitz ordered the 170,000-cubic metre FSRU that will be built at Samsung’s Geoje Island yard.
