Malaysia’s SapuraKencana ­Petroleum is preparing to move to the front-end engineering and ­design phase of its large shallow-water gas discoveries in Blocks SK310 and SK408 off Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Well-placed sources said an invitation to bid for the FEED contract will be out to the market soon.

Aker Engineering, Technip, and WorleyParsons’ local subsidiary Ranhill Worley are the recognised big three in Malaysian oil and gas engineering and are expected to receive a bid document, as are ­several other licensed players in Malaysia.

The
