Dutch floater specialist SBM Offshore is looking to order more floating production, storage and offloading vessels based on its standardised Fast4Ward concept at China’s Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) on the back of a gradual increase in demand and more interest from the industry.
But the decision to exercise options for more units will depend on a number of factors, including how the first project goes, SBM chief executive Bruno Chabas told Upstream in an exclusive interview.
