SBM Offshore has lined up a Chinese yard to build the hull of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel under the Dutch floater specialist’s Fast4Ward design, writes Xu Yihe.
The order with Chinese yard China Merchant Heavy Industry (CMHI) is the third for a Fast4Ward hull to be made in China by SBM.
SBM confirmed to Upstream last week that it has placed the order for its third Fast4Ward hull, but did not identify the yard.
