SBM Offshore has confirmed the award of a floater contract from ExxonMobil for the US supermajor’s operated Liza first-phase oilfield development off Guyana, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
The turnkey contract will see the Dutch player construct and install the floating production, storage and offloading unit on the field in the prolific Stabroek block, while it will also lease and operate the floater.
