Scale of discovery leads to extension of proposed farm-out process

The sheer size of the Orca-1 gas discovery in the BirAllah area off Mauritania has led Block C8 partner Kosmos Energy to extend the timeline for its proposed farm-out of interests in the region, writes Eoin O’Cinneide.

The US independent revealed in May that it had begun the process of farming down its stakes in blocks off Mauritania and Senegal, where it partners with operator BP.
