A long-awaited report setting out the case for Scottish independence has recommended setting aside all future North Sea oil and gas revenues into a wealth fund for future generations, writes Rob Watts.
Chaired by economist and former member of the Scottish Parliament Andrew Wilson, the commission was set up by Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon in 2016 to look anew at the case for Scotland leaving the UK, even through there are no firm plans for a second referendum on independence.
