Seadrill has secured a charter extension in the US Gulf of Mexico for its ultra-deepwater drillship West Neptune from Llog Exploration.
The total value of the one-year extension, which will start in December, is around $74 million.
Llog has applied for approval to drill on the Leon prospect on Keathley Canyon Block 686, where former operator Repsol previously drilled a successful appraisal.
