The Norwegian rig owner is said to have emerged as a strong frontrunner in the race for Husky’s multi-year contract, having proposed either of its two Moss Maritime CS60-design semisubs, West Rigel and West Mira, being built respectively at Singapore’s Jurong Shipyard and Hyundai Samho Shipyard.Husky is said to be seeking a rig potentially for a five-year charter to drill development and delineation wells in less than 130 metres of water, and exploration wells in up to 450 metres of water on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland & Labrador.
