Earlier this month, the discovery well Yuanba 205 flowed 1.12 million cubic metres of gas per day at the second layer of the Permian Changxing formation.
The latest gas flow follows similar throughput of 1.05 MMcmd at the first layer of the same formation in May.
It is the second discovery Sinopec has made at Yuanba in two months.
