The $700 million gas compression and water injection platform (C&WP) will form part of the full-scale development of the Azeri field.
BP, which operates the Azeri- Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) fields development, is planning to complete the installation by the end of September. It will then start offshore commissioning, which is planned to be completed by the end of this year.
Installation and hook up of the 14,000-tonne topsides has started after a successful sail away and launch on to the jacket last weekend.
