The head of upstream at ExxonMobil has cited security as the biggest risk faced at the planned Rovuma liquefied natural gas development in Mozambique, where the US supermajor and its partners have recently received approval for their plan of development, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
The company and partners, including Italian major Eni and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), are set to sanction the $30 billion Offshore Area 4 project later this year, likely in the third quarter and potentially as early as next month.
