Senegal has demanded investigations into energy deals in which Petro-Tim, a company founded by businessman Frank Timis, earlier won operatorship of the Cayor Offshore Deep and St Louis Deep blocks, writes Barry Morgan.
The move followed the broadcast of a BBC documentary calling into question the probity of circumstances leading to the acquisition and of the role of Senegal President Macky Sall’s brother Aliou Sall, whom the company hired shortly after the initial award.
