The crew of the MISC Berhad liquefied natural gas carrier Seri Begawan rescued a fisherman from the Philippines who had been adrift at sea in a small boat for nearly three weeks, the Malaysian energy shipping and maritime giant reported.

The Seri Begawan, an LNG tanker operated by MISC’s Eaglestar division, was sailing from Gladstone, Australia to Beihai, China on 26 May when the lookout on duty spotted the fisherman and summoned the shipboard team.
