UK-listed Serica Energy this week applied to the UK authorities for consent to develop its long-stranded Columbus field in the central North Sea.
Serica also handed in its environmental statement for the scheme, planned as a single well that will tie in to a proposed pipeline between Dana Petroleum’s planned Arran development and Shell’s Shearwater facilities, which will process the gas and condensate output.
