US service sector players continued to report weaker first-quarter numbers over the past week, with Baker Hughes posting a much-reduced net profit in the first quarter despite a rise in revenues, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
Net income attributable to Baker Hughes was $32 million in the three months to the end of March, down from $70 million a year earlier.
Revenues were up 4% to $5.62
