A new chapter in the Petrobras graft scandal has been written, with allegations about rig builder Sete Brasil and claims that the ruling Workers’ Party (PT) may have received up to $200 million in bribes to fund electoral campaigns in Brazil.
Pedro Barusco, a former Petrobras and Sete Brasil manager who entered a plea bargaining agreement with prosecutors last November, told investigators that agents of five Brazilian shipyards paid bribes to Sete Brasil in order to secure contracts to build drilling rigs in the country.
