UP TO seven leading domestic and international drilling contractors are battling it out in a tender to provide India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation with five standard jack-up drilling rigs on three-year charter terms.
Sources close to the tender process told Upstream that up to seven contractors have recently offered a total of 14 jack-up rigs to ONGC in two separate categories of the five-rig tender.
