Recently installed BP Shah Deniz president Mike Skitmore says all options are on the table for full-field development, which is "very much at the screening stage".
He cites further drilling into the reservoir and the size of market that can be found as crucial factors in determining what form the expansion will take.
Skitmore would not be drawn on the detail of development options but industry sources suggest that a subsea development tied back to the first phase's TPG-500 production platform is likely to be on the agenda, while a second production facility might also be a candidate if marketing efforts can secure big enough sales contracts.
