INDIA'S Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is expected to start a shallow-water offshore gas project later this year aimed at developing its GK-28/42 field in the Kutch-Saurasthra basin, off the west coast of the country, writes Nishant Ugal.

The GK-28/42 development project is expected to be valued at more than $300 million and would involve wellhead platforms, subsea pipelines, the charter of a mobile offshore production unit (Mopu) and an onshore facility at Ohka on the west coast, an industry source told Upstream.
