Staff were informed of the milestone decision earlier this week.
It comes as the Anglo-Dutch supermajor moves closer towards decommissioning the Brent field in a massive programme of work set to last several years.
Brent Delta was the first Brent platform to cease production in 2011 and this week’s decision leaves Charlie as the only one of the four still producing.
