Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell has started exports from its Prelude floating liquefied natural gas project off Western Australia.
The maiden cargo that was processed on what is now the world's biggest operating FLNG vessel is en route to customers in Asia on board the LNG carrier Valencia Knutsen.
“Tuesday’s first shipment of LNG departed from Prelude FLNG, safely. Everyone involved should be very proud of the work taken to reach this important milestone,” said Shell’s integrated gas and new energies director Maarten Wetselaar.
