More than 1700 tonnes of new equipment was installed on the Ursa tension-leg platform in Mississippi Canyon Block 810 in support of the project, which aims to shoot water into the ageing reservoirs of the Ursa and Princess fields and improve hydrocarbon recovery. Water injection is due to being later this year.
Shell previously told Upstream that the project would target the largest of the shared Ursa-Princess Miocene reservoirs.
