Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell has suggested to Russian partner Gazprom that the planned capacity of their long-discussed Baltic liquefied natural gas project be increased to about 13 million tonnes per annum from the previous 10 million tpa target.
Shell's Russia country chairman Cederic Cremers told Moscow business daily Kommersant that technological advances and increases in turbine power capacity would make a higher capacity plant more efficient.
