Shell expects its production in Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale formation to increase tenfold by early next decade as the Anglo-Dutch supermajor pours investments into the prolific Neuquen basin.

The company is currently producing about 4000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the Vaca Muerta shale from a pilot project that entered operations earlier this year.
