Shell’s asset manager for Prelude FLNG, Jim Marshall, gave delegates at last week’s Australasian Oil & Gas conference in Perth an update on the construction of the company’s flagship FLNG vessel.

Shell’s current focus has been on the fabrication and installation of the vessel’s topside modules, which is taking place at Samsung Heavy Industries yard in South Korea.

“Currently we have eight out of the 14 (modules) up on the deck,” Marshall said.
