In a strategy presentation in the City of London's Plaisterers Hall, Shell unveiled plans to spend a total of $15 billion a year in 2004 to 2006, out of which $11.5 billion will go to its upstream divisions Exploration & Production and Gas & Power.

The scandal-hit oil giant also plans to sell off some $10 billion to $12 billion of underperforming assets over the next two years in order to strengthen its finances, which have taken a battering this year.
