Shell announced in January it had awarded major contracts covering the cleaning and decommissioning of the Curlew floating production, storage and offloading vessel, writes Rob Watts.
One contract, for specialised industrial cleaning, decontamination and waste management services, went to Augean North Sea Services (ANSS), part of UK-listed Augean Group.
A separate deal was awarded to the Leyal Demtas facility in Aliaga, Turkey, where the floater will be dismantled and recycled.
