Despite the hard work and good intentions, Shell is still not where it wants to be, admits David Loughman, managing director of the group’s Norway subsidiary was hit by the deaths of two people onshore in its global operations in 2010, one in the US and one in Oman.
Shell was also recently censured by Norway’s safety regulator, the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA), following a well incident on the Draugen platform last December, during a wireline operation to replace a gas lift valve.
