Shell has opened up another major project opportunity in Australia by laying the groundwork to enter the front-end engineering and design phase of the Crux gas and condensate field scheme.
The Anglo-Dutch supermajor earlier this year settled on a development concept comprising a large fixed platform tied back via a 165-kilometre 26-inch diameter subsea pipeline to its Prelude floating liquefied natural gas vessel.
