Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell is within weeks of finalising the offshore builders that will compete for the big processing platform that anchors the Crux gas project off Western Australia.
China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Company, US player McDermott and Singapore’s SembCorp Marine look certain to make the shortlist, with one of either Saipem, Larsen and Toubro or Sapura Energy in with a chance if the shortlist is widened to four, said sources.
