The most recent appraisal was completed during the first quarter and was drilled to test Miocene objectives one mile (1.6 kilo­metres) west and 2000 feet up-dip of the original discovery well.

This fresh appraisal follows a Block 940 appraisal last autumn 1.5 miles north of the discovery well that struck 620 net feet of oil pay and prompted the operator to boost its estimated recoverable reserves at the field to more than 300 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The
