The Department of Energy has asked Shell to propose a new revenue sharing model for Malampaya.
“I don’t have a problem with the extension. However, the terms cannot be the same. Everything has been cost-recovered, why would it be the same?” said Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla.
Shell is said to be asking for an extension of SC38 off north-west Palawan based on the same terms.
