Shell’s Corrib gas field and onshore facilities are now technically ready for start-up, 19 years after discovery of the field off west Ireland — though the Anglo-Dutch supermajor is still waiting for two regulatory permits before output can begin.
In a fresh update, Shell said first production from the troubled project is now expected before the end of 2015, slightly later than previous indications of mid-2015.
