Speaking at the Australian Gas Technology Conference in Perth, Western Australia, Shell Australia’s general manager for production Michael Schoch, said the total includes about $12 billion in taxes and $12 billion worth of goods and services to be purchased in Australia.
About 5000 people will work on building the FLNG vessel, but most of that effort is taking place overseas.
