Snepco's indigenous contractor Lonestar Drilling has its land rig Agbon-1 on site at block 809 ready to spud the Kolmani River-X well, near the Bauchi village of Gbaranibu in Snepco's six-year exploration licence area. The $18 million well could take up to 90 days to drill due to logistical problems, according to an exploration source. Total anticipated depth is 3000 metres with the well targeting upper and lower cretaceous zones.
