Shell has signed a deal with Anadarko Petroleum to farm in to a block off South Africa where French giant Total is poised to take over operatorship, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.
The Anglo-Dutch supermajor has taken a stake in Block 5/6/7 in the Cape basin off the country’s south-west coast, Shell’s Menno de Ruig, acting vice president of exploration for Africa and Middle East, said at the Africa E&P Summit in London late last week.
