Production from the new reservoirs has helped boost output of Phet crude from the field in block S1 to almost 23,000 barrels per day of oil, up from just over 20,000 bpd. The discovery of the new oil reservoirs is great news to us all, said Thai Shell executive director Martin Bradshaw. It will raise reserves in the Sirikit field by about 10 million barrels, more than replacing the expected total production of this year.
Shell will still sell in Thailand
THAI SHELL has discovered additional oil reservoirs at its Sirikit field onshore Thailand but this will not stop the company from divesting its upstream assets in the country.
