Last month, Oslo-listed TGS-Nopec Geophysical submitted a proposal to the federal agency Environment Australia to undertake a non-exclusive 4900-kilometre 2D seismic shoot spanning the Townsville trough, more than 50 kilometres from the eastern boundary of the World Heritage-listed area.
