RENEWED efforts to develop Ghana's only proven offshore oil and gas complex are under way with UK-registered Tano Oil and Gas sounding out the market for one jack-up and one semi-submersible to develop the Tano field. The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) insists a final decision has not been reached but admits talks are advanced. Aberdeen-based Tano Oil and Gas, formerly Tano Energy, was set up six months ago to buy the Tano development licence and is pursuing a two-platform plan involving eight wells drilled over a two-year period.
