China’s Sinopec has awarded a surface facilities maintenance contract for the just-completed phase one of the giant Yadavaran oilfield to the local Iran Ofogh Industrial Development (IOID) company, boosting its bid for finalisation of an agreement to more than double production as part of a phase two development.
The two-year contract signed this week with IOID covers well sites, pipelines and all other surface facilities built by Sinopec to produce 85,000 barrels per day.
