Iran has suffered a fresh blow in trying to enlist Chinese help in developing major oil and gas projects, with state-owned Sinopec freezing plans to invest in the second phase of the southern Yadavaran field, writes Nassir Shirkhani.
“The contract for development of the second phase of Yadavaran field was written in a way that China’s Sinopec would do the development, but that has stopped," said National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) deputy director Reza Dehghan.
