China's Sinopec is embarking on a major drilling campaign in the Sichuan basin in the country's southwest looking to boost local natural gas production by as much as 67% over the next three years, writes Xu Yihe.
The company plans to drill about 1000 production wells to help achieve a production target of 10 billion cubic metres per annum by 2020, up from 6 Bcm last year.
