London-listed junior Sirius Petroleum has contracted Polaris Consulting to undertake a seabed survey around its Ororo oilfield in OML 95 off Nigeria.
The geophysical and geotechnical marine survey will underpin rig positioning work ahead of deployment of a jack-up from the fleet of China’s COSL Drilling Pan-Pacific.
Discovered by Chevron in the mid-1980s, Ororo holds about 7 million barrels of oil and 93 billion cubic feet of gas.
