The six prospects are located in four different blocks where the independent player holds the 100% working interest and full operatorship, according to a company source.
OGX intends to spud a total of 10 wells in operated and non-operated areas in the Santos basin in 2009 and 2010. Drilling activities at the first well, dubbed Abacate, started on 16 August.
The well is within the BM-S-29 licence, where OGX holds a 65% stake.
