South Korea’s SK E&S has signed a letter of intent with the Philippines government for the proposed investment of US$1.7 billion on a liquefied natural gas import project and related gas infrastructure.
The LoI signed with the Philippines Department of Energy (DoE) envisages a maximum 5 million tonnes per annum LNG receiving and regasification facility, several power plants with combined capacity of more than 600 megwatts and associated onshore gas pipelines.
