"We looked at this quite intensively a couple of years ago," says Ola Often, technology manager at Fred Olsen Energy, owner of drilling contractor Dolphin.
"At that time the market was such that there was a very narrow dayrate margin to hang it on, making it very difficult to compete."
But now, with rates improving over the last six months or more and a number of big operators said to be looking more intently at this technique, his company has started putting more effort into marketing it again.
"Slender
